Tracking Every Minute
After not hitting most of my goals this year, I went back and tried to figure out what went wrong. Issue number one was that I was not spending ANY time working towards my goals. This challenge is step 0 in making sure I hit my goals in 2025.
I've learned so much from tracking every minute of the day, that I thought it would be a good idea to share it with you. I'm posting my daily updates here.
If you are interested in a longer explanation of why and how I started this challenge, and how it went, check out these posts:

[Tracking Every Minute]-Day 11 – Wednesday Win
Tracking every minute is about learning where I am spending my time. If I am not making adjustments based on what I am learning, why am I even bothering. Today is a great adjustment. Yesterday, I took 4 hours out of the working day to watch my daughters soccer game. Worth every minute, but I […]

[Tracking Every Minute]-Day 10 – Tuesday Two
Today is the second Tuesday in the tracking every minute challenge. You can read about the first Tuesday, which was day 3. Yesterday, was the second Monday in the challenge. [Tracking Every Minute]-Day 9 – Back to Work
After a weekend filled with children’s activities and family commitments I find Mondays particularly important. If I can set the tone today, it typically translates into a good week. [Tracking Every Minute]-Day 6 – The Wrong Routine
Day 6 is a Friday. I would assume I’m in the majority by assuming that my typical Friday’s are a bit softer than every other day of the week. Unfortunately for me, I also had a really soft Thursday (Day 5), which starts a routine in the wrong direction now. I started this challenge to […]

[Tracking Every Minute]-Day 5 – What Routine
Today was the type of day that lead to the creation of this challenge. As I look back at what I got done during the day, nothing pops into my head. I got through the day. That is a win. But I was just running from place to place, with minimal intention and no focused […]

[Tracking Every Minute]-Day 3 – Peak Routine
Is it possible that I’ve established a new routine by day 3? I started this challenge of tracking every minute of each day to avoid losing track of what I am doing with my time. Day 1 was my son’s birthday and a Sunday. It felt odd tracking how I spent every minute of a […]

[Tracking Every Minute]Day 1 – A child’s birthday
Of course, the first day of the track every minute challenge is a Sunday and it’s my sons birthday. This is going to be an impressive display of productivity for everyone to behold… If I was only tracking my time to measure my productivity, this might seem like a waste of a day. However, I […]
